I love a winter wedding, I love the challenge of low light, finding the light and even creating the light.

A winter wedding at Claridges, with their Christmas Tree is almost an iconic event. People flock from all over the world to see this Christmas Tree and every year the designer of that tree is eagerly awaited by those that follow fashion. This year Dolce and Gabbana were the designers, I'm no expert at all, I mean it looked like any other tree to me, but I guess that it wasn't and to be honest I didn't have the time to inspect it properly, needless to say there plenty of people have their picture taken with it.I met Chantelle and Nick a year ago in Rickmansworth, both were very excited about their London wedding and rightly so, it was a fantastic day. A fairly small wedding with 50 or so guests, but full of emotion with close family and friend in attendance.

Both Chantelle and Nick wrote their own vows, and I always think that this adds a little extra to the ceremony as the vows are said from the heart as opposed to having the "why I " moment that makes all bride and grooms sound like Geordies. Not that there is anything wrong with a Geordie accent, I personally love it, but I have always wondered why there is a pause during the vows just as the couple agree to marry and the registrar say that there is no reason , pause "Why I ".Anyhow I digress, The couple looked lovely, the bride and groom looked perfect together and the whole day was a real show of love and emotion.

I feel honoured to have documented Chantelle and Nick's wedding day and I wish them all the happiness for the future. Here are just a few of their wedding day images.
