Blenheim Palace wedding of Ruth and Martin as photographed by David Pullum. David has recently been voted one of the best wedding photographers in the UK for 2020

When I first spoke to Ruth 2 months before their wedding I knew we were going to get on, she was bubbly, looking forward to her wedding and completely relaxed about the day. Ruth, originally from South Africa, and Martin, from Scotland had friends and family travelling from all corners of the globe to attend the ceremony in a tiny church in the middle of Oxford.

From there it was a short trip to Blenheim Palace for the reception. Like any Blenheim Palace wedding the the venue is quite amazing and provides such a wonderful backdrop. It was also great to catch up with Adrian from Dreamcatchers, who recommended me to Ruth. I have worked with Adrian on a number of weddings over the last few years and it was a pleasure to photograph his friends wedding.Ruth and Martin really were great to work with, when you feel completely relaxed in a couples company and when they make you feel welcome at their wedding, even though you have never met them before, then it becomes easier to get the images we both want. Ruth's mum even invited Anita and I to their cottage in South Africa for a holiday, and if I wasnt so scared of sharks and not stopping at red traffic lights I would take her up on that....
