A beautiful day, a really fun couple a wonderful venue and guests that just want to have fun. This wedding had it all in abundance. When I first met Emma and Nick at a pub in London it was a cold wet winter Saturday morning, We got on instantly. I had been recommended to them via Lauren and Gabe, whose wedding I shot at The Waldorf Hotel.
Nick is a keen QPR supporter and after our meeting he was heading off to Birmingham to watch them play Aston Villa, I went back with Emma to meet her parents and have some lunch.I love meeting my clients before their wedding, I think its one of the most important aspects of wedding photography. I am a firm believer that my personality sells me, of course good photographs help, but the couple , their family and friends have to spend up to 16 hours with me and so it is really important for both them and me that we all get on. I find more and more that I am meeting a lot more of my potential clients before they book, and I for one love how this has been a complete sea change form a few years ago when I used to meet very few.
Emma's parents were so hospitable and we all had so much in common that I knew I was going to love their day and hopefully get some great images. Micklefield Hall as usual looked superb, the weather held for an outdoor ceremony, and everyone had a great time.
