Jewish weddings in London
Describe your style?
Relaxed, unobtrusive, unscripted wedding photography with little to no directing. My aim is to provide pictures that reflect you, your personality, the fun and laughter and occasional tears that are shed during the day. I don’t ask you to do anything that will embarrass you or anything that when you look back in 10 years time you cringe at. I don’t photograph cheese. I photograph love and emotion.
How long have you been photographing Jewish weddings?
I have been photographing Jewish weddings in London for the past 9 years. Born and raised in Edgware I have a strong connection to the Jewish faith, all my friends at school were mainly Jewish as was the area where I grew up and went to school. The weddings have so much tradition from the Tisch to the bedekken and Chuppah, all proving a wedding photographer with plenty of outstanding moments to photograph. I have also photographed Jewish weddings in Brighton, Manchester, France and Spain to name a few.
How many photographers do I need to photograph my wedding ?
With over 15 years experience in wedding photography , 9 of those have been shooting primarily Jewish weddings. I believe that no more than 2 photographers are required to photograph a wedding of us to 300 guests. During the ceremony there is just 1 photographer, me, under the chuppah. It’s very important that your guests can see you getting married. One experience photographer is enough to get all the moments captured, there is no need for more. My second photographer will be at the back capturing the wider angled shots. Your guests have every right to see the wedding in full, why ruin their view with a mass of photographers and videographers all scrambling to get their footage.
Do you use Social Media ?
A wedding is a private event, it is not an event that the whole of Instagram or Facebook is invited to. I believe it’s very important that the first person to see the Chuppah in all its glory and the Ballroom and dance floor is the bride and groom, not my instagram followers. On a wedding day I will give 100% of my concentration and effort to the bride and groom and their families, providing them with images that reflect the laughter and joy that was had. Once I have done my job, edited the images and shown the couple I will then show some of my instagram followers. On a wedding day I am working for the couple not the band, wedding planner, florist or caterer.
Do you photograph Family Formals ?
Absolutely, and as many as you want within reason. These are some of the most important wedding photographs that I take. They are a record of who the most important people are and will stand the test of time.
