Due to the ash cloud that descended upon us last month Anil Tohani and I covered a wedding for our good friend Joe Dickie at Dromoland Castle in Shannon, Ireland. We got a call from Joe on Thursday evening at about 8.00pm that he was not going to make it to Shannon and so we booked our ferry tickets, got up at 2.30am and drove to Holyhead. The drive to Holyhead, whilst long, is beautiful, once you get into North Wales and along the coast the views are spectacular. We arrived in Shannon at about 5.00pm and shot the ceremony from 7.00pm until 9.30pm. We then went back to the pub where we were staying, downed a couple of obligatory pints of Guiness and prepared for the wedding the next day. Both Parul and Ronan, and their families were so accommodating, bearing in mind they had never met us, let alone heard of us, and here they were trusting us to shoot their wedding. We both had a great time, and it was a fabulous experience. Here a some of our favourite images below.
