Coworth Park , as part of the Dorchester Collection, provides 5 star facilities in Ascot that rival those hotels in London. Emily came to me about 9 months ago, she had seen some of my images and wanted to me to meet Andrew. Andrew, I was told hates having his picture taken. So I met them an Emily's parents house and we all got along really well, talking about plans for the wedding, possible problems with the weather, especially as it was Glastonbury weekend, which normally indicates it will bucket down with rain, and then Emily casually dropped in that her sister Katie's boyfriend was Howard from Take That. Great,
Ive photographed Robbie Williams, Gary Barlow was at a wedding I photographed a few weeks ago and so now I only need Mark and Jason for the full set.As always with a wedding that coincides with Glastonbury, it did rain, however that did little to dampen the sprits of either Emily or Andrew, nor their guests.Before the wedding Andrew was clearly nervous, his groomsmen tried to help, but to be honest their efforts were in vain. A large part of my job is down to personality, it’s hard to walk into a room with a load of groomsmen, or bridesmaids and just start taking photographs. Emily and Andrew each had a pre wedding meals, where all the groomsmen and bridesmaids, as well as parents met on Friday night for a meal, and I was lucky enough to photograph this event, which really helped me befriend them all and make them feel relaxed in front of the camera.
The rain did come, but with patience we were able to get out in the evening for the formals and couple shots, the guests then partied well into the night and a great time was had by all. Emily, Andrew, their parents and friends made me feel so welcome, its hard to remember a wedding where I have been so gladly and openly welcomed into the fold, and for that I am very grateful.
