Stoodleigh Court country house in Tiverton, Devon was built in 1881 by architect Ernest George who won a Royal Academy Gold Award for this design in 1885. The house was built for Thomas Carew and his family on the original site of Stoodleigh Manor. However, these early days are shrouded in mystery and rumours suggest that the house was often unoccupied.
“I just wanted to drop you a quick email to say a huge thank you for saturday! Eveyone commented on how brilliant you were, getting all the memories, crouching and rolling around to get the shots and the amazing speed of your camera. I think the budding photographers in our group learnt alot from the way you work and Oli was chuffed to help with the flash.
Everyone is really looking forward to seeing them and tell me they now understand why i have been raving about your work for the last 2 years. I of course am the most excited to see the photos and the preview on your blog, Russell says that he reckons you made my year when you said that one of the photos was a ‘blog shot’. After all the time i’ve spent looking at your photos we will now be in them.
It seems very strange to be back to normal without you nearby taking photos of what i’m doing
So thank you again for your down to earth yet proffessional work, it was a real honour to have you photograph our special day and you made us and our guests feel really relaxed”. Kate Wass
