This is The Grand Connaught Rooms Wedding of Saziye and Halil, a Turkish wedding that I photographed a few weeks ago.I don’t get to photograph many Turkish weddings and so this was a real treat for me. Held at The Grand Connaught Rooms in London this was a full day of celebration from the ceremony in the early afternoon all the way through to the dancing in the late evening.Halil started with a shave at the Dolce and Gabbana shop in The West End whilst Saziye started her preparations at The Savoy Hotel. We then all converged on the Grand Connaught Rooms for the ceremony and Reception.

Saziye's brother was the star of the show during the ceremony, unable to control his emotion when the couple were saying their vows made for some really emotional and strong images, the sort I love taking. I am used to lots of dancing at weddings as I photograph alot of Jewish weddings and the Israeli dancing can be frenetic at times and the Turkish dancing whilst less boisterous was equally as good with many little celebration dances happening one after the other. All in all this was a fabulous day and one I thoroughly enjoyed.
