Anita and I have just returned from shooting a wedding in Paris and whilst we were strolling around the St Germain district of the city we stumbled across a photographic gallery specialising in B&W documentary photography. The exhibition they had on whilst we were there was the work of John R Pepper, specifically the work he shot in 1969 in Rome. The pictures that were displayed were simply stunning and we were both blown away by them, so much so that we purchased the two below.

Images from our wedding in Paris will follow soon, but here are the 2 stunning images we bought. I have to say it was a real treat to see b&w film silver halide prints by such a great photographer up close.
