This year I have made a concerted attempt to enter as many WPJA contest images as possible. In Q1 the following images placed well. To get a placing is a real achievement as thousands of images are entered each quarter from photographers throughout the world.

Christian, Carol, Helier and Louis (The Keenan's)

Last month Anita and I spent 3 memorable days with Christian Keenan and his family at their home in Jersey. Christian is a superb wedding photographerÃ‚Â (www.ckpweddings.com) and one whose work I admire greatly. On our second day Anita went off to the Spa and I photographed The Keenan’s. To say this was nerve racking would be an understatement, as photographing for a photographer is so difficult. Helier and Louis were great subjects, although keeping up with them did prove tiring and I have to say I was absolutely shattered when I finished later that night.

Christian and Carol were such great hosts and it was a real learning experience for me to see Christian’s studio and workplace, and meet up with Andy, Christian’s assistant, again.
