Lucie and Max's wedding at The Arosa, Kitzbuhel

open post close post

What a way to end 2010, this was a memorable wedding for so many reasons. The main one being Lucy and Max who were just wonderful clients to work with. I had only spoken to Lucie on the phone a few times before the wedding, but knew instantly that we would get on well, she is bubbly , excitable and was really looking forward to her wedding. I arrived at Innsbruck airport and met up with quite a few of the other guests who had flown in on the same flight, we all boarded the coach and drove up the mountains to The Arosa in Kitzbuhel, where the wedding ceremony was to be held the next day.

The wedding at the Arosa was really magical, it was a beautiful day, the sun shining and the mountain air really made for a great wedding. After the reception drinks we all boarded a coach to go up the mountain to the Toni Alm ski hut where the reception was to be held. The only way of getting to Toni Alm was by Skidoo, and I was to ride up front in the lead skidoo with Max and Lucie. To say it was scary was an understatement, I was hanging off of this thing trying to take pictures whilst it raced up the mountain, hilarious to watch imagine, terrifying to be on. The party went on until 4.00am, the dancing and partying was something else, I even participated myself….

I’d like to thanks Lucie and Max, their families and friends for making feel like part of the wedding, so many asked me if I was friends of the couple, which is a great compliment especially as I had only met them both the night before. The wedding itself was one of the most memorable experiences I have had the pleasure to attend. Here are my personal favourite images from their day.

We have been working tirelessly with Flosites recently to launch my associate Jenny’s new website . Jenny is available for wedding throughout the UK, but mainly concentrates on the South West. We are really looking forward to her season this year that sees her travel to Amsterdam and Porto for weddings later this year.

Here are some images from her latest wedding at Christmas

Andreas Feusi: ( February 17, 2011 3:58 pm ) Excellent work, especially the b/w treatment.

Rebecca and Tom'm wedding at RIBA in London

open post close post

Rebecca and Tom were married at the stunning venue of RIBA in the heart of London. I had never shot at RIBA before, but I guess I should have realised from the acronym that it was going to be the most wonderful place to shoot a winter wedding. Plenty of light and huge windows, made it a pleasure to work in.

I have a huge amount of respect for anyone that changes their faith, and Tom deserves all the congratulations and respect coming his way. To convert to Judaism takes time, dedication and alot of hard work and for those reasons alone I take my hat off to him. Infact Tom is the second groom I have worked with who has converted, previously I shot the wedding of Tanya and James at Micklefield Hall, James had also converted. Indeed it was Lady Winston, Tanya’s mother who recommended me to Rebecca’s mum Talya. A huge thank you goes to The Singers for making me feel so welcome on the day and allowing me to tell this fabulous story.

Here are some of my personal favourites

Steve Gerrard: ( January 18, 2011 10:28 am ) Beautifully captured. I shot at this venue a week later and enjoyed the challenge of shooting in a slightly different way to usual. Always interesting to see how another photographer saw it.
