Jamie and Carey, wedding in France

open post close post

Jamie and Carey were married at the beautiful Musee Rodin in the heart of Paris, opposite Invalides. Jamie runs a wedding planning company in the US called Mango Muse Events and so the wedding was planned along with Heather Jerue from Rendez-vous in Paris. I flew in from Exeter the day before and went round to the apartment that the family were renting early the next morning. The Musee Rodin is an amazing venue , with some stunning gardens and a wonderful area to hold a ceremony. After the ceremony the guests had a tour around Paris whilst the 3 of us went to shoot some portraits. The reception was held at Lasserre , a Michelin starred restaurant with a retractable roof..

Overall the whole wedding was a wonderful experience, thanks to Jamie and Carey and their family for making me feel so welcome. Some of my favourites are below.

Christina and Slav's Russian Wedding at The Langham Hotel, London

open post close post

Christina and Slav were married at the wonderful Langham Hotel in West London, this is the second time I had photographed a wedding there over the summer, but this time, as Christina lives just around the corner from the Hotel, they had their ceremony at All Souls Church, which is literally just over the road. Christina is a trained operatic singer, and a very good one at that. As Slav is Russian, there were aspects of a Russian wedding during the day, namely vodka, which was pretty free flowing, something I think the English guests struggled to deal with, in more ways than one. I dont think Ive witnessed anything as strong as Russian Vodka. Just after the speeches Christina sang for Slav, it was a wonderful moment and a great way to end such a fabulous day.

Here are some of my favourites from their day.
