Ben and Meri had their engagement party at the Haymarket Hotel in London. I first met Ben when I photographed his sister Tanya and Jame’s wedding at Micklefield Hall in Rickmansworth last year. Since then we have become friends and I worked with Ben, who runs a film production company, on a couple of projects and hope to shoot some more with him soon. Ben is good friends with James Corden and it was good to see him again and the whole of the Winston family. I hope to be shooting Ben and Meri’s wedding later this year.

Ben Winston: ( February 4, 2010 11:15 am ) David - the photos are great.... thank you so much. No one captures a party like you can. Can't wait to see more. Looking forward to having you on another shoot we do asap!

This was my first wedding of 2010, and yet 2 days before the wedding it was on the verge of being cancelled due to the heavy snow, making access to the venue impossible. Luckily for both Amamda and Giles the venue worked around the clock to ensure that access by vehicles was possible. Giles’s mum is a vicar and so she married the couple, unfortunately for me though the local vicar was also there and allowed no images to be taken during the ceremony, so I obliged and only shot 50, even though he was watching me throughout.

It was also great to meet up again with Jules and Oliver whose wedding I shot at Hurst Castle in September 2008, Jules is now pregnant and expecting very soon.

Here are a few of my favourites from the day.

Joseph Yarrow Bristol Wedding Photographer: ( February 2, 2010 7:05 pm ) David, I honestly feel that you are one of the best wedding photographers in the UK, if not the world. Your work is truly incredible. This wedding is beautiful!
