Portugal

It’s been nearly 18 months since we last went away as a family and so with a couple of weeks off in October we decided to book a week in a villa in Portugal. We went to Portugal 3 years ago when Max was just 1 years old and thoroughly enjoyed it. This year we stayed at Sao Rafael, a beautiful resort about 20 mins from Albufeira. Max has just started swimming lessons and like any 3 year old has far too much confidence in his own abilities, jumping, diving and swimming underwater are things he believes he can do, which , although he has armbands, means Anita and I dont really get to rest at all as he was constantly in the pool.

Below are a few pictures, some nice ones, some that amused my ridiculous sense of humour, some that show my obsession with car window reflections and some that might win me Landscape Photographer of the Year….. not.

Chris + Jess | Clearwell Castle

Chris and Jess were married at Clearwell Castle in Gloucester with close family and friends present to witness their ceremony and reception. Jess is an extremely busy doctor and Chris is just too clever for words, having just finished an MBA in Nautical engineering , or something like that , either way its way beyond me.
Thanks to both sets of families for making me feel so welcome and to Chris and Jess for allowing me to have free reign over their images.

Here are a few of my favourite images from their day.

Nice family holiday pics too. NIce to add that personal element to the blog I think. I'm due to do the same. Hope all is well.

August Favourites

August was such a busy month for me this year, in total I shot 11 memorable weddings and traveled to London, Norwich and found time to shoot a few in Devon as well. As the season starts to quieten down for me now, I thought I would post a slideshow of some of my favourite images from that month. I dont often post slideshows for a number of reasons, but the hardest thing I find is choosing some music to accompany all of the images.

The music for this show I first heard in Feb this year in Dallas. Amy Deputy stood up and presented at the Foundation Workshop, run by Huy Nguyen, amongst others. Amy played a slideshow of images from the first image she shot as a professional through to the most recent, including images of her personal life. It was one of the most moving shows I have ever watched, not only were the images superb , but this music just resounded with me. Ive been itching to add it to a slideshow and so thought this would be an excellent chance.

Thanks to all my couples for trusting me to shoot their weddings and letting me have free reign. I hope you enjoy the images.
